Our basil essential oil is produced in Liguria, obtained from the best leaves of the renowned Genoese basil, grown without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The basil essential oil it has a balancing action on the bacterial flora, the nervous system and has an anti-mosquito action.

Cold pressing of fresh leaves.
Perfume:
Heart note: delicate, fresh, spicy-sweet and slightly balsamic aroma. It evokes the scents and colors of the Ligurian coast.

PROPERTIES AND USES OF THIS E. OIL:
- DECONGESTANT: if inhaled, it helps to open congested airways, thins and helps expectorate phlegm, in case of asthma, flu, cold, bronchitis and sinusitis. A few diluted drops in the nose serve against the loss of smell (anosmia).
- ANTISEPTIC: due to its antimicrobial properties it is used in the treatment of feverish and flu states, infectious diseases and in affections of the urinary tract, such as coliform cystitis.
- ANALGESIC: in the symptomatic treatment of joint pain due to gout, arthritis, headache, the essential oil of basil can be used as an anti-inflammatory in case of edema and blood congestion.
- DIGESTIVE: effective in solving difficult digestions, it helps to reduce abdominal swelling, thanks to its carminative action; while the antispathic properties play an important role in counteracting spasms and menstrual pain.
- INSECT REPELLENT: if widespread in environments, it is a very effective remedy against mosquitoes and to prevent annoying insect bites and stings.
